The International School of Los Angeles is an international K-12 school committed to bilingual education and academic excellence in a stimulating and intimate environment that encourages personal initiative, creativity, and curiosity. The school’s mission is to develop confident, caring, and open-minded critical thinkers who will thrive in a diverse and competitive world. All students study a common bilingual curriculum from kindergarten to 8and year after which they choose one of two rigorous programs leading to the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma or French Baccalaureate. After 10and year, students formally apply and enroll in the IB Diploma Program or French Program Baccalaureate program including the OIB (international option of the baccalaureate). All choices offer academically demanding and well-rounded programs of study that meet the needs of highly motivated students and enable them to become successful global citizens.
With multiple campuses in the Los Angeles area (Burbank, Los Feliz, Pasadena, and West Valley), the school enrolls over 1,000 students. The school is accredited by the French Ministry of Education, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), and the International Baccalaureate.® (IB), and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the National Honor Society (NHS).
