Trainocate Lanka, a leading learning and development provider, recently partnered with Alethea International School, one of the oldest private schools in the country, to facilitate the brand new RESET programme. This is the first time that the RESET program will be implemented in a school in Sri Lanka. Alethea was established in 1928 and has over 90 years of history in the field of education. The implementation of the RESET program in the school ecosystem offers the opportunity to improve students’ computer literacy and introduce the global applications of RESET.
Anitra Perera, Managing Director/Principal Coordinator of Alethea School and Alethea International School, commented on the program: “Introducing RESET into our curriculum goes hand in hand with the digital transformation of our school. The program is the first step in ensuring that our students are well prepared for the digital world that awaits them. This is a first step in improving the quality of education we provide to our students”.
Remote End User Self Enablement Training or RESET, provides a library of instructional videos made by technical experts and geared towards self-study. Products such as Microsoft Office play a crucial role in the daily lives of students and industry professionals, and RESET provides a fundamental understanding of how they work. Teachers will be able to use RESET to customize modules that go along with current programs. Thanks to RESET, teachers can also remotely manage students, classes and sections. Additionally, RESET also offers surveys, quizzes, exams, and more, which can help analyze student performance.
The launch ceremony held on April 8, 2022 at Alethea International School was honored by Mr. Anh Pham, Chief Partner Officer – Microsoft SEANM, who addressed the participants on the theme “Future Ready Skills for Higher Education”. During his address, Mr. Anh Pham commented on the RESET partnership saying, “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Trainocate who is one of our main partners in the SEANM region for introducing the RESET LMS to the Sri Lankan students through Alethea, and in doing so, keeping the next generation of talented Sri Lankan professionals informed.”
The RESET program fills an important gap in IT education as it provides basic training in Microsoft 365, which is software widely used by businesses around the world. The program helps increase student productivity and confidence, which in turn empowers the workforce to use skilled and self-sufficient users.
Zafarullah Hashim, Managing Director of Trainocate, shared his thoughts on the partnership: “We have had a great partnership with Alethea for a long time, and the implementation of the RESET program is testament to that. We are confident that this program will provide an excellent foundation for students and teachers on their journey to a highly digital future. We are grateful to be able to provide our services for the well-being of the school and its students.
RESET gives students the opportunity to be industry-ready at an early age. The program is fully accessible remotely. RESET will be implemented year by year between grades 6 and 11. Beyond that, Trainocate, which is Microsoft’s premier learning partner globally, will offer Microsoft 365 Fundamentals training as part of its Microsoft role-based pathways. The program will benefit both students and teachers and help raise the level and quality of education offered at Alethea to new heights.
