Bombay, 12 years olde SEPTEMBER 2022 (GPN): RBK International School, Bhayandar is hosting an “International Week Display” event which is one of the largest annual extra-curricular educational events on campus, starting Monday, September 12 and culminating on September 17, 2022. Titled “RESFEBER – The Restless Race from the heart of a traveler. The week-long celebration aims to celebrate the spirit of togetherness and the feeling of belonging to a world and being truly international. Including the participation of all stakeholders of the school, the event focuses on celebrating the differences and uniqueness of cultures around the world.The event provides information on the different continents of the world including Antarctica, Australia, Asia, Europe, North America and South America. The celebration involves the participation of students from pre-primary to A level.
Each continent has its unique identity in terms of religion, language, population and geographical characteristics. RESFEBER aims to make students aware of these diversities. It also encourages them to accept and better appreciate the differences that exist in the world.
Affirm the importance of organizing such events at school Mrs. G Vani Reddy, Principal of RBK International School, Bhayandar said, “It’s not just about the presentation given at the final event, many life skills are learned during the preparation process. While celebrations like these broaden learners’ perspective, making them aware of current events happening around them also helps build their self-confidence, giving them a platform to seek, explore, assert their points and work in groups.
The event holds many fascinating and lesser-known facts about the origin of the names of these continents and relevant information about other international organizations such as the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), International Organization for Migration (IOM), World Bank Group (WBG) and many others. It will also shed light on the different career paths that learners might pursue in the future.
