Teaching Methods Workshop Held at GIG International School, Vijayawada – The New Indian Express

VIJAYAWADA: GIG International School-Gollapudi, Vijayawada, managed by Cognizance International Academy (CIA), Singapore conducted workshops on Montessori teaching methods and English for teachers to enrich their knowledge.

International Academic Advisory Board members Sheila, a Canadian early childhood education expert and Shilpa, a Cambridge certified educator and English language expert led a workshop for teachers. The program saw the participation of about 40 teachers from reputable schools in Vijayawada.

Sheila organized a training for teachers on Montessori methods, which gives students the freedom to learn according to their choice. During this time, Shilpa stimulated participants with hands-on activities, team-building sessions and inquiry-based learning to improve a wide variety of English skills among students. Both sessions enriched teachers’ knowledge of curriculum and the development of effective technology-enabled pedagogy. Enaganti Sreekanth, Director of GIGIS, appreciated the participants.
